Our mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for all those residing in, working in, or passing through the city of South Ogden.  We will strive to provide police and fire services that meet or exceed the highest standards.  We will conduct our business with integrity, with diligence, and in a manner that reflects our commitment to equality and fairness.

Director's Message

On behalf of the South Ogden Department of Public Safety, welcome to our community.  Our Department of Public Safety comprises the Police, Fire and Animal Control functions of the City.  In addition, we are responsible for the formulation and implementation of the City’s Emergency Management plan.

 
As the Director of Public Safety, I am confident you will find that South Ogden promotes a strong emphasis in training and professionalism to enhance your safety.  We have a strong relationship with the other jurisdictions in our proximity and work hand-in-hand with those agencies to maintain a strong, viable and cohesive public safety effort.  Our City Council is committed to providing the resources necessary to accomplish public safety service.  Our employees are very well trained and competent with a high standard of professionalism.

We strongly urge you as a citizen to contact our office at any time with questions, or simply come by and say hello.  We would be happy to show you our facilities and answer any questions you may have about your family’s welfare and security within our City.
