Mission Statement
The mission of the South Ogden Police Department’s Investigations Unit is to gather, analyze and disseminate proactive criminal intelligence information to support internal and external law enforcement efforts within our community. The unit uses all available resources to conduct sensitive investigations in ALL areas of criminal activity. Our Investigators hold trust, integrity, and support as core values and the foundation for successfully achieving our mission.
TRUST
The foundation for this value is the relationship between our Investigation’s Unit, the Patrol Division, outside agency investigations/information sharing, and our community. We are committed to these core values as a foundation for maintaining effective and successful investigations, and we will preserve and strengthen these bonds wherever possible.
INTEGRITY
We will maintain integrity by ensuring that the confidentiality and proper use of sensitive information is subject to the highest level of internal and external review.
SUPPORT
By working together with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, we will strengthen our ability to successfully investigate, arrest, and prosecute criminal offenders not just within South Ogden, but Weber County as a whole. The South Ogden Police Investigations Unit is comprised of one Lieutenant, and three investigators, and an investigative assistant. As part of their assigned duties, our investigators are assigned and well trained to assist other Weber County task forces such as the Weber County Homicide Task Force, and Arson Fire Investigation.
