Skyline Drive Extension Project Update
August 10, 2016
Combe Road is scheduled to close for up to 60 days beginning Monday, August 15, 2016. This closure is planned to facilitate construction of a new roundabout at the Skyline Drive intersection with Combe Road. Please use local alternate routes such as Wasatch Drive, 5700 South/Eastwood Blvd., or Jared Way.
Construction Crews are completing storm drain installation, and settling (surcharging) the imported roadway materials.
Careful coordination has taken place with Weber School District Transportation. They are aware of this closure and will make temporary bus route changes to accommodate busing in the area. As the beginning of the school year approaches, we would like to remind parents and students that all areas in the construction zone, as indicated with traffic control devices, are off limits.
This project will extend Skyline Drive from Megan Circle on the south to the Ogden City limits on the north. The new road will be approximately three-quarters of a mile and will include construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Combe Road and Skyline Drive. Storm drain upgrades are taking place along Skyline Drive and Eastwood Blvd.
Project completion anticipated by Fall of 2016.
Please note that due to weather, project conflicts, utility issues, or equipment/supply issues, schedules are subject to change.
