Storm Drain and Pipeline Installations
The relocation and upgrade of water lines and storm drains continue as scheduled throughout the project limits. Efforts will be made to provide residents a 24-hr notice prior to scheduled water service interruptions.
Crews with Rocky Mountain Power have transferred electricity onto the new poles. They'll continue to perform minor maintenance and cleanup activities to complete their portion of this work over the next few days. Upon completion, Comcast crews will also relocate their communication lines and the old poles will be removed and hauled away. Crews with other utility companies continue to work in tandem to relocate their utility lines.
Construction crews are asking residents who live near the east end of the project limits, adjacent to the roadway, to prevent water runoff from draining into the work zone. Not doing so prevents paving activities to continue as scheduled and delays progress on the project. Please water responsibly to help crews stay on schedule and finish the project on time.
Residents whose mail delivery has been put on hold may contact the post office directly by calling 801-475-9456 or pick up their mail from the office located at 1145 East 4600 in South Ogden.
Residents may experience discolored water as a result of upgrading underground waterlines. If this occurs, it is recommended to run cold water through the bathtub faucet as filters meant to trap sediments may clog smaller faucets. Residents may call the Public Works Department at 801-622-2901 with questions about water quality or visit: www.southogdencity.com/public_works/water for more information.
