The goals of the South Ogden Department of Public Safety Traffic Division are:

• to protect all those that travel around and through South Ogden City
• to evaluate the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic to determine if changes need to be made to the roadways or traffic control devices
• to facilitate the thorough and professional investigation of all traffic related crashes, and effectively enforce, without bias, the laws and ordinances established for South Ogden City.

In order to accomplish these goals, South Ogden DPS has a unit of highly trained and dedicated officers that have chosen to specialize in this endeavor.  We have implemented the use of motorcycles, LIDAR, and several types of radar units.

South Ogden DPS’s Traffic unit needs your help to be as effective as possible.  As the Traffic / Motor Sergeant, I encourage you to call, email, or write to me and present any traffic concerns you may have.
